Usui Reiki Biography for Shannon Marie Svensson

Shannon Marie Svensson opened Circle Green Healing Arts Center in 2005 soon after finishing her Usui Reiki master training. For Shannon, Reiki represented a way to unify the various elements of her personal wellness practice into a single form of healing that could be easily and successfully shared with others.

Shannon takes great pleasure in her connection with the local Reiki community as well as her membership with the International Association of Reiki Professionals.

Shannon studied the Usui System of Natural Healing in the Pacific Northwest with three remarkable teachers: William Lee Rand, Mark McNutt and Valerie Byram.

William Lee Rand, founder and president of "The International Center for Reiki Training" is one of most prominent Reiki Masters in the western world. William received the Reiki master level of training from five different Reiki masters. He has made many trips to Japan to research Reiki and also received Reiki I&II training from Mrs. Yamaguchi who received her master or shinpiden directly from Dr. Hayashi. William Lee Rands Story

Mark McNutt is an Usui Reiki Master who works closely with the elemental realms of nature. He is founder of the Aerious Retreat Center in Deadwood, Oregon.

Valerie Byram is an authority on Qui Gong and Feng Shui with mastery in Usui, Tibetan and Karuna Reiki. Valerie was also attuned by William Lee Rand.

In addition to her work as a holistic health educator and practitioner Shannon owns and operates Celtic Copper, a jewelry arts studio specializing in pure copper jewelry, established in 1990 and online at www.celticcopper.com since 2000. Her community endeavors focus on greater awareness and appreciation of “green” lifestyle choices and the preservation of natural resources: Cofounder Snohomish Farmers Market, Cofounder Lake Stevens Farmers Market, Snohomish School District Art Docent, Mosher Creek Restoration Project stakeholder, Positive Womens Network volunteer Usui Reiki therapist.
